After almost fifty years in a grave at the leper settlement on Molokai, the body of Father Damien was removed that it might be returned to his Belgian homeland. In this play, Father Damien, awakened from his peaceful slumber, makes the forced journey home. The journey of his physical body touches off memories, and Father Damien's voice is heard once more.
